Grenville Strategic Royalty (TSX: V.GRC, Forum) had a good uptick in the markets today after the company announced Q3 2015 financial results with quarterly revenues hitting $4.54 million, a 401% increase compared to the matching 2014 period.
According to the
news release, the company noted that Q3 2015 was the seventh consecutive quarter of positive revenue and adjusted EBITDA for that time period was $4.33 million, an increase of 699% over Q3 2014.
The company, one of a handful of investment firms funding industrial and technology companies through revenue-based revenues, also declared a November dividend of $0.00583 per share, or $0.07 on an annualized basis – a 40% increase over the previous monthly dividend. Investors held on tight as traders clamoured to jump on board, sending SP northward.
Shares were up 18.33% to $0.71 per share.
Sophiris Bio (NASDAQ: SPHS, Forum) fell considerably on large volume with no news to back up the drop. The last news the company put out was
an announcement last week that its Phase 3 BPH Study had successfully met its primary endpoint.
Some traders speculated that the fluctuation in SP was short-timers selling into last week’s news and that blue skies were ahead for the stock that could see valuation go beyond the $5.0 mark based on the potential sales of its newly tested product.
Shares were down 21.03% to $1.84 per share.
