Canasil Resources (TSX: V.CLZ, Forum) exploded on the boards today in the wake of drilling results released by Orex Minerals (TSX: V.REX, Forum), operating under an option agreement with the company for the Sandra-Escobar Project located in Durango, Mexico.
According to the
news release on the company’s website, the results were from the first hole (SA-15-001) of an on-going drill program at the property and included a 61-metre core length (43.1 metres true thickness) intercept grading 359 g/t silver starting from surface. Within this intercept was a sub-interval of 18 metres grading 748 g/t silver including 9 metres grading 1,204 g/t silver and 3 metres grading 2,271 g/t silver.
Shares shot up 172.73% to $0.15 per share.
Bellatrix Exploration (TSX: BXE, Forum) slipped somewhat in the markets today on no material news. The company
last released news just under two weeks ago, noting it had a strong 2015 in regards to operations and projected a focused first half of 2016.
Traders speculated the drop came from funds accommodating exiting clients through share liquidation.
Shares dropped 21.29% to $1.22 per share.
