MicroCap Report: Axia NetMedia (T.AXX) climbs, Energy Fuels (T.EFR) burns low

Axia Netmedia Corporation (TSX: AXX, Forum) saw a significant SP increase in the markets today when the company announced that it had entered into an agreement with Partners Group where Partners Group agreed to acquire all outstanding common shares of Axia for a cash consideration of $4.25 per share.

According to the news release, the total value of the going private transaction was approximately $272.0 million, representing a 49% premium to the closing price of the shares on the TSX on March 8, 2016 and a 47% premium to the volume-weighted average trading price of the shares over the last 60 trading days. Shares jumped 47.37% to $4.20 per share.

Energy Fuels (TSX: EFR, Forum) dipped on the boards today when the company announced the pricing of its US$10.5 million underwritten offering of common units where a syndicate of underwriters led by Cantor Fitzgerald Canada Corporation, Haywood Securities and Roth Capital Partners agreed to buy on an underwritten basis 4.375 million units.

According to the news release, each unit consists of one common share and one half of one common share purchase warrant at a price of US$2.40 per unit. Warrants will be exercisable for three years from the closing date at an exercise price of US$3.20 per share. Shares slipped 16.17% to $3.11 per share.
