Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Friday, August 27, 2010

TORONTO (SHfn) – Harte Gold (TSX: V.HRT, Stock Forum) shares continued to move higher Friday, rising 18% to 47 cents. After Wednesday’s close, the explorer reported an NI 43-101 compliant Indicated Resource of 1,117,000 grading 8.41 g/t gold and Inferred Resource of 417,000 tonnes grading 7.13 g/t gold for 95,000 ounces of contained gold at its Sugar Zone Property located 60 kilometres east of the Hemlo Gold Camp in Ontario. Harte stock gained 10% in Thursday’s trading session.

As well, shares of ARISE Technologies (TSX: T.APV, Stock Forum) shot up 20% to 21 cents as the solar technology provider updated shareholders on its progress to date in the third quarter of 2010. Highlights included the shipping of more than 10.8MW of PV cells in the first seven weeks of Q3, up 100% over same period in Q2.

Circumpacific Energy (TSX: V.CER, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said it has entered into an Arrangement Agreement pursuant to which all of the outstanding shares of Circumpacific are to be acquired by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Western Petroleum Commodities, a private Canadian oil and gas company, for approximately $9.6 million, or 18 cents a share. Circumpacific stock popped 46% to 17.5 cents.

And, Goldstone Resources (TSX: T.GRC, Stock Forum) Friday announced that it has temporarily suspended the Key Lake exploration drilling program, just west of Geraldton, Ontario, previously outlined in its press release dated June 22, 2010. Following the requisition of a shareholders' meeting by Phillip Cunningham on August 23, 2010, the company's site geologists resigned their positions with the company. As a result, the company has postponed further drilling of the Key Lake property pending resolution of its corporate and staffing issues. Goldstone shares powered 54% higher to 63 cents.
