On Monday, Upper Canada Gold (TSX: V.UCC , Stock Forum) shares climbed 40% to 28 cents after the micro cap miner reported selected drill hole results from the drill program that began in early March 2010, on its 100% owned Dingman Property near Belleville, Ontario, which included 3.17 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 31.8 metres.

As well, shares of Pele Mountain Resources (TSX: V.GEM, Stock Forum) shot up 35% to 17.5 cents as the junior explorer announced that it has retained Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates to provide an updated NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate that will include both uranium and rare earth elements at Pele's Eco Ridge Mine project at Elliot Lake in northern Ontario. The new resource estimate is expected to be completed by year-end.

In Tuesday trading, Intrepid Mines (TSX: T.IAU, Stock Forum) shares jumped 22% to $1.15 after the miner reported drill results from its Tumpangpitu Prospect at the Tujuh Bukit Project on East Java in Indonesia, which included 150 metres at 0.73 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 1.00% copper, and 315 ppm molybdenum.

Also, shares of Fire River Gold (TSX: V.FAU, Stock Forum) moved up 17% to 61 cents as the junior explorer announced assay results from its ongoing re- evaluation program at the Nixon Fork Gold Mine situated in Alaska's Tintina Gold Belt, which included 26 g/t (0.76 opt) gold over 2.9 metres (9.5 ft).

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of Explor Resources (TSX: V.EXS, Stock Forum) surge 32% to 54 cents after the micro cap explorer reported the results of six of the 18 holes completed during the most recent drilling program on its Timmins Porcupine West Property in Ontario, which included 11.15 meters of 5.38 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

In addition, shares of Gem International Resources (TSX: V.GI, Stock Forum) gained 67% to 60 cents as the junior miner said it has entered into an option agreement with Eden Gold to acquire a 80% interest in a gold and precious metals property located in the Handeni region of Tanzania. The property contains a total area of 227.2 square kilometers and adjoins the western boundary of Canaco Resources Inc.'s Handeni property.

On Thursday, Pelangio Exploration (TSX: V.PX, Stock Forum) shares powered 27% higher to 62 cents after the micro cap miner reported drill results from the first two holes totaling 186 metres on the Pokukrom West prospect at the Manfo Property in Ghana, which included 8.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 12 metres.

As well, shares of Wolverine Minerals (TSX: V.WLV , Stock Forum) rose 67% to 38.5 cents as the junior explorer said it has entered into a binding letter agreement with Strategic Metals (TSX: V.SMD, Stock Forum), whereby Strategic has agreed to grant Wolverine the right to earn a 100% interest in 21 of Strategic's Yukon gold prospects covering more than 325 square kilometers.

And, in Friday trading, Rodinia Lithium (TSX: V.RM, Stock Forum) shares climbed 23% to 34.5 cents after the micro cap explorer reported that it has discovered lithium and potash during its first reverse circulation drill program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina, which intersected an average 713 mg/L lithium, 9,000 mg/L potassium, and 543 mg/L boron over a 120 metre reverse circulation drill hole.

Finally, shares of Continental Minerals (TSX: V.CLH, Stock Forum) added 12% at $2.58 after the junior miner said it has signed a letter agreement to be acquired by Jinchuan Group Ltd., a China-based mining group, for aggregate cash consideration of about $432 million, or $2.60 a share.
