On Monday, Riva Gold Corporation (TSX: V.RIV, Stock Forum) shares climbed 27% to $1.97 after the micro cap miner announced that it has entered into two agreements the Pereira Group, giving Riva the option to acquire the rights to two groups of mineral properties in Guyana, the Nine Mile Properties and Honey Camp Properties, which include the Puruni Property. Historic mining from Nine Mile Property included 118,000 tons of material milled, yielding 71,113 ounces of gold averaging 18.66 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. In order to exercise both options on the collective properties, over a period of three years Riva must pay the Pereira Group a cumulative total of $2.1 million in cash and issue a cumulative total of one million common shares of Riva in conjunction with certain work expenditure commitments, with the right to accelerate at any time.

As well, shares of Centric Energy (TSX: V.CTE, Stock Forum) shot up 41% to 55 cents as the oil and gas explorer said it has entered into an arrangement agreement under which Africa Oil (TSX: V.AOI, Stock Forum) has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Centric. Under the terms of the transaction, each Centric shareholder will receive 0.3077 of a common share of Africa Oil and $0.0001 in cash for each Centric Share held, or a total consideration of approximately $60 million.

In Tuesday trading, Midway Gold (TSX: V.MDW, Stock Forum) shares jumped 19% to 81 cents after the micro cap explorer reported drill results from its Spring Valley Project in Nevada. The project is considered a large tonnage, moderate-to-low grade gold deposit that may be mined by open pit methods. Results included 31.4 metres of 3.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, with 38 intercepts having fire assays greater than 1 g/t gold and 17 intercepts greater than 3 g/t gold. Barrick Gold has the exclusive right to earn a 60% interest in the project by spending US$30 million on the property over five years. Barrick may increase its interest by 10% (70% total) by spending an additional US$8 million in the year immediately after vesting at 60%.

Also, shares of Kootenay Gold (TSX: V.KTN, Stock Forum) moved up 19% to 94 cents after the junior miner announced assay results from the holes PC 003 & PC 004 as part of a 10,000 meter, multi-phase drilling program underway on its Promontorio Silver Project in Mexico, which included a shallow intercept of 262.4 g/t silver and 1.1 % lead+zinc over 13.5 meters.

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of Evolving Gold (TSX: V.EVG, Stock Forum) surge 17% to $1.17 after the gold junior announced additional assay results from the 2010 core drilling program at its Rattlesnake Hills project in Wyoming, which included 405.4 meters at 1.31 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 50.3 meters at 5.87 g/t gold.

In addition, shares of Lounor Exploration (TSX: V.LO, Stock Forum) added 15% at 11.5 cents as the junior explorer reported additional drill results on the Harker Gold Property in the Timmins/Kirkland Lake area of Ontario, which included 14.4 g/t gold over 3.21 metres.

On Thursday, Silver Sun Resource (TSX: V.SSU, Stock Forum) shares powered 41% higher to 20.5 cents after the micro cap explorer said it has entered into a mineral property purchase agreement with Maggiore Capital Limited pursuant to which Silver Sun has acquired a 100% right, title and interest in the Yoreme mineral claim in Mexico. Initial sampling returned values that included 1,768.6 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 2.0 metres.

As well, shares of Alexandria Minerals (TSX: V.AZX, Stock Forum) gained 25% to 22.5 cents as the junior miner reported that it has intersected two separate zones in Diamond Drill Hole IAX-10-95, expanding the gold zone below the past-producing Akasaba gold-silver mine in Quebec. Results included 8.27 g/t gold over 4.58 metres.

And, in Friday trading, Seafield Resources (TSX: V.SFF, Stock Forum) shares rocketed 148% higher to 57 cents after the micro cap miner reported assay results from the first three drill holes at its Miraflores property at the Quinchia Gold project in Colombia, which included 449 metres grading 1.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including 23.95 metres grading 9.18 g/t gold.

Finally, shares of Columbus Gold (TSX: V.CGT, Stock Forum) rose 83% to 52 cents as the junior explorer said it has entered into a definitive option agreement to acquire the Paul Isnard gold project in French Guiana, which includes the two million ounce Montagne D'Or gold deposit.
