Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Thursday, June 2, 2011
TORONTO (SHfn) – BonTerra Resources (TSX: V.BTR, Stock Forum) shares fell 24% to 23.5 cents on Thursday after the micro cap miner reported gold assays for an additional four drill holes on the Eastern Extension Gold Project in Quebec. Hole BA-11-23 assayed 8.95 grams/tonne (g/t) gold over 6.2 metres.
As well, shares of Digital Shelf Space (TSX: V.DSS, Stock Forum) gained 17% to 14 cents as the independent producer of home entertainment content and online delivery technology said it has started its initial Direct Response TV campaign in Canada this week for its GSP RUSHFIT ultimate home workout DVD fitness series. The GSP RUSHFIT workout series stars the Montreal-based Mixed Martial Arts, World Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre.
Landdrill International (TSX: V.LDI, Stock Forum), meanwhile, posted first-quarter revenue of $14,013,000, which is an increase 127% from 2010's comparable amount of $6,183,000. The company also reported earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation (EBITDA) of $2,089,000 and a net profit of $1,004,000, which are increases from the previous period's amounts of $918,000 and $224,000, respectively. Landdrill stock popped 11% to 35 cents.
And, Augusta Resource (TSX: T.AZC, Stock Forum) late Wednesday announced that printed and electronic copies of the preliminary draft Environment Impact Statement (EIS) have been delivered by the Coronado National Forest to the State of Arizona and local Cooperating Agencies for final review. The Record of Decision for the Rosemont Copper project in Arizona appears on track for January 2012 and in-line with previous USFS guidance allowing for a 90 day public comment period after the publication of the draft EIS in August 2011. Augusta shares rose as much as 10% before closing up 8% to $4.50 on Thursday.
