Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, April 2, 2012

TORONTO (SHfn) – Waymar Resources (TSX: V.WYM, Stock Forum) shares climbed 50% to 60 cents on Monday after the micro cap explorer reported assay results from the continuation of the Phase Two drilling at its Anzá property in Colombia, which included 18.0 metres of 14.14 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of Imaflex (TSX: V.IFX.A , Stock Forum) shot up 112% to 35 cents as the manufacturer of polyethylene packaging films said it has applied for a provisional patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as co-inventor, along with Bayer Innovation GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bayer AG, for a multilayered film capable of releasing active ingredients over a limited time period.

Lomiko Metals (TSX: V.LMR, Stock Forum), meanwhile, announced that it has received the final assessment report from the 2011 Vines Lake Exploration Program in British Columbia. The company said the report showed that zinc values in soil on the western side of Vines Lake were by far the most anomalous on the property, with values reported up to 2,429 ppm. Lomiko Metals stock popped 28% to 16 cents on volume of more than 3.5 million shares.

Shares of Lake Shore Gold (TSX: T.LSG, Stock Forum) moved up 13% to $1.16 on more than 48.6 million shares traded after the gold junior announced a new reserve estimate for its Timmins West Mine in northern Ontario, which includes 823,848 ounces gold (4,922,180 tonnes grading 5.21 g/t), all in the probable reserve category.

And, IC Potash (TSX: T.ICP, Stock Forum) Monday reported that Yara International ASA, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, has agreed to make a strategic investment of approximately $40 million in ICP at a price of $1.32 per common share and has entered into a committed off-take agreement for the purchase of 30% of all products produced by ICP's Ochoa project in New Mexico for a period of 15 years. IC Potash shares rose 17% to $1.04 on more than 4.5 million shares traded.
