On Monday, Calibre Mining (TSX: V.CXB, Stock Forum) shares sank 43% to 24.5 cents on volume of more than 9.7 million shares after the micro cap miner and B2Gold (TSX: T.BTO, Stock Forum) reported further positive drill results at the Primavera Gold and Copper Porphyry joint venture project in Nicaragua, which included 146.5 metres of 0.65 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.27% copper.

As well, shares of TomaGold (TSX: V.LOT, Stock Forum) shot up 23% to 80 cents as the junior explorer said it has entered into an agreement with Diagnos Inc. to acquire a 100% interest in 25 mineral claims covering 1,395 hectares (Lac a L'eau Jaune property) in the Chibougamau region, just northeast of TomaGold's Monster Lake property in Quebec.

In Tuesday trading, Energy Fuels (TSX: T.EFR, Stock Forum) shares climbed 20% to 30 cents on volume of more than 1.8 million shares after the pending uranium producer said it will acquire all of Denison Mines’ (TSX: T.DML, Stock Forum) mining assets and operations located in the United States in exchange for 425,441,494 common shares of Energy Fuels. Denison shareholders will receive approximately 1.106 common shares of EFR for each common share of DML owned and will, in aggregate, own about 66.5% of the issued and outstanding common shares of EFR.

Both companies contend the transaction will create the largest pure-play uranium producer in the United States, with 2012 production forecasts totaling greater than 25% of total U.S. estimated production. The new company is estimated to have Measured and Indicated Resources of 49.8 million lbs of U3O8, plus Inferred Resources of 17.9 million lbs of U3O8. Denison shares shot up 17% to $1.65.

Also, shares of DEQ Systems (TSX: V.DEQ, Stock Forum) continued to move higher Tuesday, up as much as 15% to 34.5 cents. On Monday, DEQ shares gained 15% as the provider of table game bonusing, progressive jackpot and table game linking solutions announced that the Las Vegas Sands Group has added an additional 15 progressive systems for a total of 53 while at the same time connecting the fourth LVS property to Real Link. Real Link is a table game progressive jackpot management system that links and manages multiple casino locations to a single common progressive jackpot.

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of GTA Resources and Mining (TSX: V.GTA, Stock Forum) jump 16% to $1.10 on volume of more than two million shares after the micro cap explorer reported results from the first two holes of the Phase 2 drilling program on the Northshore Property in northwestern Ontario, which included 7.82 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over a core length of 12.0 metres. The company added that recent drilling has extended gold mineralization in the Afric Zone over 200 metres along strike and to a vertical depth of 190 metres.

In addition, shares of Yukon-Nevada Gold (TSX: T.YNG, Stock Forum) gained 21% to 34 cents as the gold miner announced that it has initiated a process to explore and evaluate potential strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value. This may include a sale of the company, business combination, joint venture, merger, acquisition, or strategic investment.

On Thursday, Raging River Exploration (TSX: V.RRX, Stock Forum) shares surged as much as 12% to $2.30 after the oil and gas producer reported that it has entered into an agreement to acquire focused Viking light oil assets in Saskatchewan from an unnamed energy producer. Raging River is acquiring 175 bbls/d of high netback Viking light oil production and 21.5 net sections of undeveloped land for a total consideration is approximately $30.5 million. The property has Proved plus Probable Reserves of 1.07 million boe.

As well, shares of MedX Health (TSX: V.MDX, Stock Forum) rose 17% to 14 cents on volume of more than 1.2 million shares as the provider of low level laser light therapy and light imaging systems announced that it has been granted two new patents, with another 23 patents pending. Both patents focus on the use of light to capture images within the skin from a distance using a digital camera or similar device.

And, in Friday trading, Newstrike Capital (TSX: V.NES, Stock Forum) shares fell 10% to $2.16 after the gold junior reported the next series of drill results completed in the 2012 drill program in progress at its 100%-owned Ana Paula Project in Mexico, which included 25.03 meters of 5.10 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

Fianlly, shares of New Zealand Energy (TSX: V.NZ, Stock Forum) added 12% at $3.19 on volume of more than 1.5 million shares after investment firm Canaccord Genuity initiated coverage on the company’s stock with a “buy” rating and a 12-month price target of $4.50.
