Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Thursday, May 3, 2012

TORONTO (SHfn) – Ocean Park Ventures (TSX: V.OCP, Stock Forum) shares surged 45% to 22.5 cents on volume of more than 2.3 million shares Thursday after the micro cap miner announced the first drill results from the Adelita copper-gold-silver project in Mexico, which included 105.2 metres of 1.03% copper.

As well, shares of Anatolia Energy (TSX: V.AEE, Stock Forum) gained 32% to 29 cents as the oil and gas explorer/developer reported that the core analysis from the five cores extracted from the Dadas Shale formation in the Caliktepe-2 well in Turkey in January 2012 has been completed. Results indicate that the Dadas Shale is an organic rich shale with marine Type II kerogen in the middle of the oil generation window. The porosity and rock evaluation measurements indicate that the shale has generated oil.

Polar Star Mining (TSX: T.PSR, Stock Forum), meanwhile, announced the resignation of Douglas Willock as President and CEO of Polar Star. The company said the change is effective immediately, as it “allows Mr. Willock to devote more time to personal and family matters.” Polar Star Mining stock dropped as much as17% before closing unchanged at 24 cents.

And, Woulfe Mining (TSX: V.WOF, Stock Forum) Thursday reported assay results for samples associated with the drilling program at its Sangdong deposit in South Korea, which included 13.1 metres true width at 0.60% WO3 (tungsten). Woulfe shares added as much as 8% at 28.5 cents.
