Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, July 9, 2012
TORONTO (SHfn) – Red Eagle Mining (TSX: V.RD, Stock Forum) shares climbed 14% to 57 cents on Monday after micro cap explorer reported additional assay results received from the recently completed 24-hole, 5,400 metre drill program at the San Ramon gold system located within the Santa Rosa gold project in Colombia, which included 7.0 metres at 41.53 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.
As well, shares of Kaminak Gold (TSX: V.KAM, Stock Forum) rose 10% to $1.90 as the junior miner announced that drilling expanded the Double Double zone in the Yukon to 400 metres in strike length. New results from these zones included 12.5 g/t gold over 13 metres.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported on Sunday that Bolivia will consider nationalizing South American Silver’s (TSX: T.SAC, Stock Forum) silver property, although President Evo Morales said he hadn't taken a final decision on whether to revoke the Canadian miner's concession. South American Silver stock dropped 29% to 72 cents on volume of more than one million shares.
Aquila Resources (TSX: T.AQA, Stock Forum) shares gained 13% to 22 cents after the junior explorer released remaining results from the 2012 drill program at its 100% owned Reef Gold project in Wisconsin, which included 65 meters of 2.80 g/t gold.
And, Candente Copper (TSX: T.DNT, Stock Forum) Monday reported that on Sunday, July 8, 2012, the Comunidad Campesina San Juan De Kanaris said it voted in favour of granting surface access to the company for resumption of exploration and feasibility drilling at Canariaco in Peru. Candente Copper shares added as much as 15% at 61 cents.
