TSX owner TMX Group Ltd. (TSX: T.X, Stock Forum) said Monday it has published a joint Consultation Paper on Emerging Market Issuers.

The Consultation Paper examines the risks associated with listings from emerging markets and solicits feedback on possible measures being considered to complement existing and well-established guidelines, rules and standards at the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange.

Comments are being solicited in areas such as emerging market issuer management, corporate governance, financial reporting, internal controls, related to party transactions and sponsorship requirements, among others.

The comment period will continue to February 28, 2013, TMX Group said in a press release.

Trading at $50.59 on Monday, TMX has a market cap of $2.72 billion, based on 53.7 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is $53.01 and $41.11.
