Aurizon's Quebec mine resumes after fatality

Aurizon Mines Ltd. (TSX: T.ARZ, Stock Forum) (NYSE: AZK, Stock Forum) said Tuesday that regular shifts have resumed at its Casa Berardi mine in Quebec, following an incident that claimed the life of a contract worker on Monday morning.

The company said in a press release the resumption of regular shifts comes after an investigation underground and that underground operations will not be further affected.

Aurizon shares were unchanged Tuesday at $4.43, leaving the company with a market cap of $729 million, based on 164.6 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is $5.55 and $3.15.
