Canaccord says no client info on missing IIROC device

On April 11, 2013, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) announced the accidental loss of a portable device that contained personal information relating to clients of a number of investment firms.

Canaccord Financial Inc. (TSX: T.CF, Stock Forum) said in a press release that it has been informed by IIROC that Canaccord client information was not, to their knowledge, on the portable device that was lost. Canaccord Wealth Management therefore believes that its clients were not affected by this incident and that personal information relating to clients of Canaccord Wealth Management was NOT lost in this incident.

Canaccord Financial shares eased 2.5% to $6.53 on Friday, leaving the company with a market cap of $670.8 million, based on 102.7 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is $8.25 and $4.03.
