Here are the most active stocks on Monday mid-morning on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.

On Monday, the top TSX mover was Air Canada (TSX: T.AC.B, Stock Forum). The stock was down 0.64% and was trading at $7.86 on volume of 3.1 million.

On January 29, the airliner reported that it will hold a conference call for analysts on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 to present fourth quarter and full year 2013 results.

Orbite Aluminae Inc. (TSX: T.ORT, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It gained 8.9% and was trading at $0.43 on volume of million 2.7 shares.

On January 30, the alumina focused clean-tech company provided an update on progress of the upgrading of its HPA facility, and announced it was granted a $4.0 million non-interest bearing repayable financial contribution from Canada Economic Development for Québec regions.

Coastal Gold Corp. (TSX: V.COD, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It lost 33.3% and was trading at $0.02 on volume of 4.3 million.

The exploration company had no related news to explain the drop in the share price.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Pacific Cascade Minerals Inc. (TSX: V.PCV, Stock Forum). It fell 50% and was trading at $0.015 after 4.1 million shares changed hands.

On January 29, the resource explorer submitted its audited annual financial statements to Sedar. The company reported a net loss of $2.6 million, or $0.03 pre a share, for the year.
