Patriot One was in the news recently when
the company said its university research partner has been awarded a grant that will help to advance and further evolve the company’s intellectual portfolio.
The $161,321 grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council’s (NSERC) Idea to Innovation Phase 11 Grant, along with cash and in-kind contributions from Patriot One, creating a total project value of almost $355,000 will assist in propelling the company towards new products and solutions for the detection of concealed weapons.
Patriot One has developed a first-of-its kind, Cognitive Microwave Radar concealed weapons detection system as an effective tool to combat active shooter threats before they occur.
On March 15, the company announced that it has
entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of North Dakota for a real-world pilot study aimed at evaluating product efficiency in this active public environment.
