Pot Stocks Rally as Analyst Says 'The Worst Is Over'

Click to enlargeAfter getting mauled in last week's cannabis stocks rout, an analyst on Wednesday said "the worst is over" for weed giant Canopy Growth (T.WEED) as the investment community’s expectations come down to earth, sending TWEED stock and industry peers racing higher.

Canopy Growth stock surged 16.3 percent at press time in the stock market today.

Other pot stocks also made gains. Aurora Cannabis (T.ACB), a large rival to Canopy, jumped an impressive 14.3 percent. Aurora's stock got slammed last week as well, after a disappointing quarter and an announcement that it would halt construction on two facilities.

Cronos Group (T.CRON) added 4.3 percent while Tilray (TLRY) was up 4.3 percent.
