B. Lynn Loewen Appointed to Emera Inc. Board of Directors

Emera Inc. (EMA-TSX) announced today the appointment of B. Lynn Loewen, FCA, Chief Operating Officer of Minogue Medical Inc., to Emera’s Board of Directors.

Prior to her present role, Ms. Loewen served as President of Expertech Network Installation Inc., and held financial leadership roles with Bell Canada Enterprises, as well as executive positions with Air Canada Jazz. Ms. Loewen has served as a member of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board, where she served as Chair of the Audit and Governance Committees. She also served on the Mount Allison University Board of Regents, where she was Chair.

“Lynn Loewen’s business experience and financial acumen will be an asset to our Board of Directors,” said John McLennan, Chairman of the Emera Board. “I know she will add value to our Board’s decision making and oversight of the business.”
