Organization manages substantial increase in article submissions through ScholarOne solution

PHILADELPHIA, February 28, 2013 - The IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters, the world's leading provider of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, announced today that it is working with IOP Publishing, part of the Institute of Physics, to provide its Thomson ReutersScholarOne® solution for handling the Institute's substantial increase in article submissions.

IOP Publishing has undertaken a comprehensive review of its editorial provisions in the last year. The decision to integrate ScholarOne, the industry-leading, peer-review management solution for publishers, into its submission process is in line with the company's mission to provide the best possible publishing service to its authors, referees and publishing partners. IOP Publishing will use ScholarOne to quickly bring its communities additional functionality, such as deep links for referees and authors and improved access for board members and editors.

The solution will be implemented on a journal-by-journal basis throughout 2013.
