SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Advanced Voice Recognition Systems, Inc. (“AVRS”) (OTCBB: AVOI) announced today that it has received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for AVRS’s fifth patent for its speech recognition and transcription technology.

AVRS Patents

AVRS’ primary patent (U.S. Patent No. 5,960,447 entitled “Word Tagging and Editing System for Speech Recognition”) was granted in September 1999. AVRS’ second patent (U.S. Patent No. 7,558,730 entitled “Speech Recognition and Transcription Among Users Having Heterogeneous Protocols”) was granted in July 2009. AVRS’s third patent (U.S. Patent No. 7,949,534 entitled “Speech Recognition and Transcription Among Users Having Heterogeneous Protocols”) was granted May 24. 2011 and is an expansion of the coverage of AVRS’s second patent and incorporates speech recognition and transcription among transcription engines employing incompatible protocols. AVRS’s fourth patent (U.S. Patent No. 8,131,557 entitled “Speech Recognition and Transcription Among Users Having Heterogeneous Protocols”) was granted March 6, 2012. The fifth patent is a Continuation-In-Part application filed on May 24, 2011 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) entitled “Dynamic Speech Recognition and Transcription Among Users Having Heterogeneous Protocols.” The patent will be issued summer 2013. The Continuation-In-Part application relates to electronic speech recognition and transcription; and, more particularly, to processes and systems for facilitating “free form” dictation, including directed dictation, constrained recognition and /or structured transcription among users having heterogeneous system protocols.
