BB&T Retirement and Institutional Services revamps retirement plan websites

RALEIGH, N.C., June 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BB&T Retirement and Institutional Services announced today a complete redesign of its two websites to create a retirement destination for both plan sponsors and participants.

"The redesigned websites were the result of extensive research," said BB&T Retirement and Institutional Services Division Manager Ray McCulloch. "We found plan sponsors want more information on how to help their employees become retirement ready, and that participants want easy-to-navigate retirement planning tools and account information to simplify the retirement planning process."

Retirement plan sponsors now have access to additional retirement planning resources, such as industry news, fiduciary and compliance updates, worksheets and stock research.

The redesigned plan participant website includes a new section which offers education sections for different stages of retirement planning. Additional changes include easier menu navigation, tab viewing, new charts, in-page help and PDF confirmations. They also have access to interactive retirement planning tools, videos and additional investment and retirement planning services offered by BB&T.

"Our goal was to create an online retirement destination for both plan sponsors and participants. The websites provide plan sponsors with tools on how to maintain a healthy retirement plan and helps participants of all ages plan for their retirement," McCulloch said.
