U.S. Trust Executives to Discuss Changing Global Dynamics at 2013 Aspen Ideas Festival
Demographic changes, the movement of capital around the world and
related political and economic pressures are changing the nature
of global growth and the way in which investors think about risk and
return. As entrepreneurs, executives and the intellectually curious
gather for the ninth annual Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado this week,
executives from U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management,
will translate these long-term, transformative trends into key
strategies for investors and the creators and stewards of family wealth.
For the fifth consecutive year, U.S. Trust is the exclusive financial
services underwriter of the prestigious Aspen Ideas Festival, a weeklong
series of programs, tutorials, seminars and discussion events focused on
ideas, issues and intellectual inquiry. The annual Aspen Ideas Festival,
presented by the Aspen Institute and The Atlantic, will be held in
Aspen, Colorado, from June 26 to July 2, 2013.
At this year’s festival, U.S. Trust will look at trends driving economic
change - including a resurgence of American innovation, a slow yet
steady shift into equities and rising levels of wealth in emerging
markets – that are reshaping the U.S. and world economies and financial
markets, as well as impacting when and where individuals and
institutions invest. The U.S. Trust 2013 Insights on Wealth and Worth™
survey found that investors have a more heightened sense of financial
security and are seeking growth opportunities, but they are overlooking
several key, and often unseen, risk factors.
“The Aspen Ideas Festival brings together visionary leaders from around
the world to share their insights and experience and debate a wide range
of crucial global issues ranging from economics to education to health
care,” said U.S. Trust President Keith Banks. “We are proud to continue
our partnership with The Atlantic and the Aspen Institute and have a
voice at the festival. We once again look forward to a lively exchange
of opinions and observations.”
Three senior U.S. Trust executives will participate in programs during
the conference:
-
Opportunities and Hidden Risks in a Transforming World – Keith
Banks, president of U.S. Trust, will join Maria
Bartiromo of CNBC for a discussion about the new opportunities and
risks to wealth that are emerging in the changing landscape of global
markets, health care, retirement savings, and generational and family
dynamics. (June 27, 8 a.m. MT)
-
How to Finance Projects for the Future – U.S. Trust Chief
Investment Officer Chris Hyzy will join fellow panelists Kristian M.
Johnson, James E. Rogers, and moderator Andrew Revkin to discuss
investing in the future. (June 27, 10:20 a.m. MT)
-
Family Wealth – Is It Really About the Money? – Chris Heilmann,
chief fiduciary executive of U.S. Trust, will host a luncheon
discussion focused on the complex emotional, lifestyle and
financial needs of today’s families, and the comprehensive approach
required to help achieve their goals. (June 28, noon MT)
Through these speaking engagements, attendees can expect leaders from
U.S. Trust to share compelling findings from the 2013 Insights on Wealth
and Worth survey, one of the most in-depth studies of its kind,
exploring the attitudes, goals and needs of high net worth and ultra
high net worth individuals in the United States. The survey findings
reflect the broad spectrum of the wealthy’s values, and reveils the
often overlooked risks to family wealth.
