BACKGROUND:

With this latest expansion, customers in 11 markets in Warren County now can experience Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE. Verizon Wireless first offered 4G LTE services to some portions of Warren in 2012. Recently, the company expanded its 4G LTE network in North Warren, Tidioute, Irvine, Clarendon, Sheffield and Wrightsville. Verizon Wireless customers in these areas will now experience the speed and capabilities offered by the nation's largest 4G LTE network.

The growth of the company's 4G LTE network has enabled innovative solutions that consumers and businesses across Pennsylvania and the country take advantage of in their daily lives. These solutions include everything from LTE-connected cars to healthcare solutions for monitoring patients remotely.

In eight months' time, Verizon Wireless has added another 100 new markets to the company's nationwide 4G LTE footprint, bringing the total number of markets served by the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to 500.

By crossing the 500th market threshold, Verizon's initial 4G LTE build-out is now substantially complete. Now available to more than 95 percent of the population, Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network now covers more than 298 million people in the U.S. and more than 99 percent of the company's 3G network footprint.
