TomaGold Hits 9.6 g/t Au Over 2.25 m on Winchester

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 3, 2013) - TomaGold Corporation (TSX VENTURE:LOT) ("TomaGold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce initial results from its 2,000-metre drilling program on its Winchester property, located immediately south-southwest of the Monster Lake property, near Quebec's Chibougamau mining camp. More precisely, the drilling took place about 6 km SSW of the 325 zone.

Hole W-13-02 intersected 9.6 g/t Au over 2.25 m, including 17 g/t Au over 1 m, at a vertical depth of 315 m. While still preliminary, these results could indicate that the mineralized zone connecting the Winchester, Gabriel, Mégane, 325, Annie, Nouvelle and Eratix showings is more than 9 km long, particularly as the geological setting is consistent along the entire length of the structure.

David Grondin, President and Chief Executive Officer of TomaGold, said that: "This result on Winchester is positive for TomaGold, as it could indicate continuity with the Monster Lake mineralized zone, although further work is needed to confirm this assumption. We are also still awaiting the assay results from the three other holes, which will be released as soon as they arrive."

The geological setting of the mineralized zone is characterized by a volcanoclastic unit that transitions from felsic composition in the south to intermediate toward the north. The tuffaceous unit shows sequences of ash tuffs, crystal tuffs and lapilli tuffs of mainly felsic composition, interbedded with multiple graphite and pyrite beds often accompanied the centimetre- to decimetre-sized beds of black silica that could represent recrystallized chert or rhyolite.

The drill core cut the sheared tuff unit hosting the gold-bearing quartz vein on a 40-50 degree angle, meaning that the width of the intersection is not necessarily the true width of the zone. Based on surface observations from old SOQUEM drillholes, the Company estimates the true width of the mineralized zone at around 70-85% of the width of the drillhole intersections.

The technical content of this press release has been reviewed and approve by Maurice Giroux, a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
