IceWEB Receives Orders from Two More K-12 School Systems

IceWEB Receives Orders from Two More K-12 School Systems

-Momentum Continues in the Education Sector-

IceWEB Storage Corporation (OTC BB:IWEB), an award-winning Unified Data Storage appliance provider for cloud and virtual environments, as well as the highly secure, scalable IceBOX BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Private Digital Cloud Collaboration Platform, announced today that two additional K-12 school systems have ordered new IceBOX BYOD implementations, further cementing the Company’s growing presence in the education sector.

The two orders include the IceWEB 2200 2U IceBOX storage appliances with 8TB of capacity. These customers chose the 2200 platform because of its expandability and its ability to replicate data to a Disaster Recovery site to provide for continuity of operations.

“These solutions provide our customers with greater productivity with our IceBOX “work from anywhere” (BYOD) platform. School Districts can implement these on premise, or completely in the cloud. Teachers are now able to share folders and files with students, and students can access their own network shares so that homework and projects can be accessed from any location imaginable securely,” said Rob Howe, CEO of IceWEB.

“We are seeing an increasing interest from Colleges and Universities, as well as K-12 School Systems across the country as we approach the new fall school year. These two organizations are particularly interested in ensuring that their secure and sensitive data is not being stored in public cloud platforms, which increases the risk of compromising the integrity of their data. IceBOX provides a secure, cost-effective way for them to do that,” Howe concluded.

IceBOX provides:

· Industry leading 256 bit encryption – Federal FIPS 140-2 compliant
· Advanced Auditing capabilities to ensure that users are complying with sharing policies
· Unmatched data protection with a built-in backup utility and Disaster Recovery replication capability in our 2000 models
· The broadest BYOD support; Apple, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Kindle.
· The ability to present existing Window network file shares via the IceBOX Cloud Platform
