TORONTO, Aug. 6, 2013 /CNW/ - At the conclusion of tonight's episode of CTV's THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, it was revealed that Kristen and Darren, the dating couple from Fairmont Hot Springs, BC, were the third team eliminated from the competition series. After falling behind in the first challenge, the outdoor enthusiasts were forced to take the last flight to Carcross, Yukon, which left them struggling to catch-up with the other teams. In the end, it was Kristen and Darren's decision to perform the "supply run" detour instead of using their express pass which resulted in their last place finish to the mat.

When asked why they didn't use the express pass, Kristen said, "Handing in an express pass without really trying a challenge is kind of like copping out. It doesn't seem like a good choice because; I don't understand why you wouldn't just want to experience everything you can."

Next week on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA (airing Monday, Aug. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and live on CTV Mobile), the teams head to Regina, SK, where they get buried by lentils, then drilled by the RCMP. And the first double U-Turn of the Race sends the teams into a panic. The remaining competitors vying for the historic half a million dollar grand prize are:

The action continues online tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. ET), with the digital companion series INSIDE THE RACE WITH BLACKBERRY. Hosted by Danielle McGimsie (@MissDMcG and Teddy Wilson @TeddyWilson), tomorrow's episode features Vanessa and Celina, sisters from Ottawa, ON as they join the hosts for an exclusive BBM video chat.
