Monster Arts Completes Development of Del Monte Smartphone Apps for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone

FDP, APPZ

Smartphone app chock-full-o utilities, catalog of products with nutrition details, entertainment, meal tracker and more now launching on app markets

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Aug 22, 2013 – Today, Monster Arts, Inc. (OTCQB:APPZ) is pleased to announce that the app it has developed for fresh-cut fruit and vegetable production, marketing, and distribution company Fresh Del Monte Produce, Inc. (NYSE:FDP) is available or soon to be available for download on Apple, Android, and Windows Mobile devices, pending some market approvals.

The Fresh Del Monte Produce app aims to provide users on all major device platforms with a wide range of services and functions as they relate to the company's products. The app includes; Del Monte Fresh product information, recipes using their fruits and vegetables, a digital shopping list, a meal tracker, a calorie counter, and even a fun interactive Del Monte branded arcade game.

Fresh Del Monte Produce joins many other Fortune 500 companies who have turned to branded apps as a marketing tool, as over 90% of top companies now have their own apps. Companies have gotten very creative in the app space, with brand apps providing functions that complement and enhance consumer experience with their products and services. For example, Walgreens' brand app lets users refill prescriptions by scanning the barcode via their Smartphone or upload photos so they can pick up prints within the hour. Consumers have responded well to brand apps that add convenience, provide unique value that is only available through the app, and increase social interaction.

Not including change orders, upgrades, and add-ons, Del Monte Fresh paid approximately $46,000 for the development of the new app.
