Marketwire
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 8, 2013) - Enbridge Gas Distribution (TSX:ENB) (NYSE:ENB) will be venting natural gas today Sunday September 8 or Monday September 9. People in the area of Eastern Avenue and Broadview Avenue in Toronto and possibly Beechwood Drive near Pape Avenue and O'Connor Drive may notice the smell and sound of natural gas venting as it is released in a safe and controlled manner.
No road closures or evacuations are anticipated as a result of the venting.
Natural gas is being vented to allow for critical work on the Don Valley pipeline that runs underneath Bayview Avenue before the fall heating season. Controlled natural gas venting is a standard maintenance practice.
Although the situation is safe, those nearby may find the smell or noise unpleasant and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
