Statoil: Execution of debt capital market transactions - Update

STAVANGER, Norway, Sept. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Disbursements to Statoil ASA (OSE:STL) (NYSE:STO) of the following Note issues take place today, 16 September 2013:

* NOK 2,000,000,000 Notes with 4.13% interest rate and due 16 September 2025

* NOK 1,000,000,000 Notes with 4.27% interest rate and due 16 September 2033

The issue of the Notes was agreed and announced on 6 September. Since then plans to issue the Notes under Statoil ASA's USD 8,000,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) Programme with listing on the London Stock Exchange have been cancelled and the Notes will be registered in the Norwegian Securities Register (Verdipapirsentralen) and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Bond Agreement shave been entered into with Norsk Tillitsmann ASA.
