ThermoEnergy Corporation (OTCBB: TMEN) has appointed Marc Dupre as Sales
Director, Oil & Gas Industry. Dupre will lead the company’s business
development efforts for ThermoEnergy’s TurboFrac® and FracGen® water
recovery and recycling systems in the Texas market.
“Water management is the number one issue facing the unconventional oil
and gas industry,” said ThermoEnergy Chairman and CEO, James Wood.
“Water resources are a significant challenge at Texas shale plays where
the scarcity and cost of water is already hindering production. We are
confident that Marc’s considerable sales experience in the Texas oil and
gas sector will spur our sales opportunities in this growing market.”
ThermoEnergy recently announced a highly successful pilot test of
ThermoEnergy’s TurboFrac produced water recycling system at a major oil
producer’s site near Midland, Texas. STW Resources Holding Corp. (www.stwresources.com),
a Texas based water services company, provided access and operated the
site in conjunction with ThermoEnergy. The effort resulted in a joint
development agreement between ThermoEnergy and STW to continue pilot
testing at a number of sites in Texas and New Mexico with the goal of
developing sales and service contracts. Dupre will play a key role in
this business development effort.
Before joining ThermoEnergy, Dupre was International Account Manager at
Rainbow Ceramics, a major supplier of proppants to the oil & gas
industry. He has also held management and sales positions at Caldwell
Banker Commercial Broker, ECR International, Raytheon Corporation, and
Bristol Myers Squibb Company. Dupre received his B.B.A degree from
Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
ThermoEnergy TurboFrac systems recover and recycle contaminated produced
water and flow-back water created by shale oil and gas production. In
addition to recovering usable water for reuse in hydrofracking or other
applications, the TurboFrac system can concentrate brine, chemicals and
other impurities for beneficial use or cost-efficient disposal.
ThermoEnergy FracGen systems remove brine and other impurities in
brackish water from lakes, rivers, streams and local aquifers, producing
water suitable to be used for hydraulic fracturing in shale oil and gas
production. The company’s first commercial system has been in successful
operation at an oil field in Texas since October, 2012.
