Cintas
Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS), a leading provider of on-site first aid,
safety products and training solutions, today announced it has become a
Centennial Sponsor of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Through ongoing networking, education and research opportunities, Cintas
will regularly work with the more than 35,000 safety professionals who
are members of ASSE. The alliance will allow Cintas to better understand
safety issues ASSE’s members face and give these individuals access to
information aimed at improving safety in the workplace.
“Cintas is committed to safety in our own operations and throughout our
customers’ businesses, so we anticipate this to be the beginning of a
mutually-beneficial, long-term relationship,” said Nancy Petersen,
Senior Marketing Manager, Cintas. “Working with ASSE will allow us to
gather insights from safety professionals across the nation, uncover top
concerns in the workplace and develop solutions to further reduce worker
injuries and illness.”
In addition to working closely with ASSE members and its leadership
team, Cintas subject matter experts will share best practices on a wide
range of safety issues at ASSE’s regional meetings. Additionally, it
will provide regular contributions to its specialty journals and Body of
Knowledge, an online article and best practice database. Cintas will
also be working with the ASSE to develop programs that recognize and
champion safe workplace practices amongst ASSE members. The ASSE Award
for Innovation in Occupational Safety Management, sponsored by Cintas,
will recognize efforts by safety, health and environmental professionals
to devise creative solutions that solve industry challenges.
“As an organization devoted to safety, it’s important that our sponsors
exhibit a commitment to protecting workers,” said Kathy A. Seabrook,
ASSE President. “Cintas has the resources to help our members learn ways
to address safety issues within their workplaces.”
Cintas offers a variety of proactive and reactive safety solutions, from
PPE and instructor-led training to first-aid cabinets and AED programs.
