InterDigital Keynotes, Hosts Operator Wi-Fi Panel at Broadband World Forum

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 22, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq:IDCC), a wireless research and development company, today announced that two of the company's key executives will be participating in important industry discussions at the Broadband World Forum taking place in Amsterdam this week.

James Nolan, Executive Vice President, Research and Development, will be discussing the future of mobile networks, 5G and the advent of ubiquitous mobile broadband during his keynote on Thursday, October 24. The speech will underscore InterDigital's concept of the Living NetworkSM – a holistic, self-optimizing framework where network assets are essentially alive, dynamically and intelligently configuring and reconfiguring themselves, moment to moment, to drive optimal connections between people, between machines, and all other connected things.

InterDigital will also be hosting a panel on operator Wi-Fi and current technologies on Wednesday, October 23 at 3:40 PM CEST at its booth, D52. The panel will be moderated by Claus Hetting, a mobile industry analyst and founder of Hetting Mobile Industry Consulting, and will include:

  • Allen A. Proithis, EVP, Solutions Group at InterDigital
  • Cedric Gonin, Director of International Carriers Data Strategy and Transformation at Orange, and
  • ‎Ton Brand, Senior Director Marketing and Industry Development at Wireless Broadband Alliance.

Broadband World Forum is taking place October 22-24 in Amsterdam. The event provides attendees with the world's most comprehensive agenda on broadband strategy, technology and innovation.
