Regions
Bank associates in 16 states kick off the company’s annual Share the
Good campaign today. Share the Good is a month-long, company-wide effort
to give back to the local communities served by the bank through
service, education and volunteerism.
Share the Good activities include providing veterans and active duty
military families free admission to the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere and
collecting toys for foster and disadvantaged children in Alabama and
Mississippi. Florida bankers will be participating in a food for kids
backpacks program and hundreds of bankers will teach financial literacy
classes in Illinois, Texas, Indiana, and Georgia.
Each year during Share the Good weeks, Regions associates work to
support community and non-profit organizations by providing financial
education opportunities and collecting needed goods and supplies. Share
the Good runs throughout the month of November, with individual areas
and cities setting aside one week to make a difference.
“Banking is about more than deposits and loans,” said Rick Swagler,
director of external affairs. “For us, it’s about developing strong
communities and providing better opportunities for everyone. Share the
Good taps into our associates’ passion to make a difference where they
live and work, creating a powerful combination that benefits everyone.”
Regions provides associates with a paid day off each year to volunteer
in the community through its What a Difference A Day Makes program.
Regions’ commitment to Social Responsibility and giving back is
catalogued in the company’s yearly Social Responsibility Report. The
entire report is available on the
Community Engagement page on regions.com.
