TOMI™ Environmental Solutions, Inc. (“TOMI” or the “Company”)
(OTCQB: TOMZ),
a global bacteria and infectious disease control company, announced
today that the TOMI™ service team has completed a mold
remediation project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) using its
novel SteraMist™ technology powered by BIT (Binary Ionization
Technology®).
Recently, LAX was affected with a serious mold issue. When conventional
treatments were not successful, TOMI’s service team was brought in by
Environmental Construction Group, Inc., to assess and develop a
remediation plan. In less than two days, the TOMI team, using its
SteraMist™ technology, was able to remediate the mold.
Before SteraMist™ technology, it was very hard to completely remove all
the mold spores from the surfaces of an infested space, especially in
hard-to-reach areas. That, combined with the large number of labor hours
used in these traditional methods, resulted in an expensive incomplete
mold remediation project. The use of SteraMist™ technology has allowed
the use of less labor, resulting in a reduction of the time it takes to
complete a project.
Dr. Halden Shane, Chief Executive Officer of TOMI™, stated, “Since
SteraMist™ was originally developed for neutralizing Anthrax spores, the
elimination of mold spores is a natural application of our technology.
Mold has replaced Asbestos as the next hurdle in delivering clean indoor
space to the citizens of the United States, and SteraMist™ is ready."
Darrin McElroy, President of Environmental Construction Group, Inc.,
stated, "We were very much impressed with the efficiency and flexibility
of the SteraMist™ technology and the short time it took to remediate the
mold on our Delta T-5 Major Renovation Project. After receiving back the
clean air test results on this Project, we do plan on putting SteraMist™
in our tool box for future projects.”
SteraMist™ technology provides the most efficient and environmentally
safe mold removal method on the market and enables those buildings that
can be salvaged to be restored quickly, reducing displacement time for
building owners and tenants. This green decontamination technology
produces a quality clean, otherwise unachievable.
Tony Gutierrez, Project Superintendent of Swinerton Builders, stated,
“After seeing the results achieved using SteraMist™, I can see Swinerton
making use of TOMI’s technology in many of our mold-related jobs.”
