UnitedHealthcare has received multiple awards for its online and mobile
programs and services that engage consumers in their health and make it
easier for them to navigate the health care system.
UnitedHealthcare received three Best in Biz Awards: myClaims Manager
earned Gold in the Consumer Service of the Year category; Health4Me
received Silver in the Consumer Product of the Year category; and UHC.TV
took Bronze in the Website of the Year category. More than 500 entries

Health4Me, UnitedHealthcare’s mobile application, earned the 2013
eValue8 Innovation award, which recognizes innovative work of health
plans to develop programs that address critical health care issues.
Separately, the NOT
ME® Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), an in-person health program
and online video series that helps people prevent or delay the onset of
this disease, earned recognition from the Web
Health Awards in the Podcast category.

medical bills with a credit card, debit card, health savings account or
bank account, adding convenience while helping health care providers get
paid faster.
Health4Me gives consumers enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s
employer-sponsored plans 24/7 access to a registered nurse, their
personal health benefits information, and the ability to locate a nearby
physician, hospital or other medical facility. An “Easy Connect” feature
enables users to receive a callback on their smartphone from a customer
service representative, while the mobile version of myHealthcare
Cost Estimator allows people to comparison shop for more than 500
common medical services based on quality and efficiency ratings, where
available, and estimated cost. Health4Me gives consumers access to
personalized, relevant information, helping make it easy and convenient
to more confidently navigate the health care system.
UHC.TV
is an online health education and entertainment network that provides
original video programming on a variety of health and wellness topics.
With seven channels, UHC.TV delivers content that encourages viewers to
live healthier lives and make personally appropriate health choices,
offering information from health care leaders and advice from other
consumers. The programming is free and available to the public. UHC.TV
also offers a streaming channel that UnitedHealthcare employer customers
can air in cafeterias, break rooms, fitness centers or elsewhere at the
workplace.
The NOT ME Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle-change program
that helps people at risk for developing type 2 diabetes to prevent or
delay the onset of the disease through modest weight loss via healthy
eating, increased physical activity and other lifestyle changes. The
online version of NOT ME is available to the millions of consumers who
already have access to the Diabetes
Prevention and Control Alliance through employer-provided health
insurance from UnitedHealthcare and other national insurers in select
markets.
