today announced the appointment of two new executives: Tamer Tamar to
SVP of International Operations and Sri Subramaniam to VP of Engineering
for Smart Deals.

Tamar joins Groupon from Orbitz where he was SVP International
responsible for EMEA and APAC Regions for ebookers and HotelClub. Prior
to that, Tamar held senior positions at Expedia in Europe. Tamar joins
in April, will be based in London and will report to COO, Kal Raman.
Tamar will join Groupon’s senior leadership team.
Subramaniam joins from WalmartLabs where he was responsible for search,
marketplace and item infrastructure. Prior to that Subramaniam was VP of
Engineering at Kosmix, a semantic tech startup acquired by Walmart. He
also previously led search at eBay. Subramaniam will be based in Palo
Alto and report to Sri Viswanath, SVP of Engineering and Operations.
