Bank (NYSE: RF) today announced that Lee Ann Petty, paralegal team
lead, is the January 2014 recipient of the Regions Bank Better Life
Award. The Better Life Award is the top honor given to a Regions
associate for outstanding dedication and job performance, as well as
exemplary involvement and commitment to the community.

An employee of Regions for more than 12 years, Petty manages a team of
paralegals and is known for taking them under her wing. She sees it as
her top priority to make her attorneys shine. “If I am thorough in my
research, if I can give to my attorney all the answers they need, then
I’ve done my job,” she said.
Petty’s superiors say all employees can learn from her. “If everybody at
the bank put the time, energy and passion into their profession the way
Lee Ann puts the time, energy and passion into what she does, it’s
incredible the heights this bank could reach,” said Jeff Lee, deputy
general counsel for Regions.
For each Better Life Award recipient, Regions donates $1,000 to a
charity of the winner’s choice. Petty leads the Red Mountain Theatre
Company’s (RMTC) Young Executive Council and she has chosen RMTC for her
Better Life Award donation.
Petty’s work ethic and desire to help others succeed are evident in her
other volunteer pursuits as well. She is a member of the Junior League
of Birmingham, the Birmingham Museum of Art’s Junior Patrons, Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation and Amici – Young Friends of Opera Birmingham.

Regions associates are nominated by their managers and peers for the
award. Regions Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Grayson
Hall honors recipients at the company’s headquarters in Birmingham,
Ala., at a meeting broadcast live to offices and branches in the 16
states Regions serves. In addition to the recognition, associates
earning the Better Life Award receive an additional week of vacation, a
crystal award, and a $1,000 donation is made in their name to the
charity of their choice.
