VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 11, 2014) - Mark Jarvis, CEO of Shoal Point Energy Ltd. (the "Company") (CSE:SHP) (OTCQX:SHPNF), is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Usher-Jones as chair of the Company's Audit Committee, replacing Howard Hanick. Mr. Hanick continues as a director and as a member of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Usher-Jones has been a merchant banker since 1995 and is the former President of MB Capital Corporation and Thomson Kernaghan Co. Ltd., an investment banking firm in Toronto, Canada. He has served as a director of various public companies, including Wireless Age Communications, Inc., Xplore Technologies Corp., Calvalley Petroleum Inc. and Oromonte Resources Inc. He is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University.
Mr. Jarvis also announced that Leslie Young has been appointed as a director of the Company.
Mrs. Young's 20 year background in the junior capital markets started with CM Oliver & Company where she served as Executive Secretary to senior management and board members. Mrs. Young joined Hard Creek Nickel Corporation in February of 2004 and remains that company's Corporate Secretary and Office Administrator. She joined the Company as Corporate Secretary in June 2013.
