CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI)
announced today that it has been awarded a prime contract with a total
potential value of $95 million to continue providing operations and
maintenance (O&M) support services for the Business Integration Office
at the Department of the Interior (DOI). This five-year (one base plus
four options) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract
represents continuing work for CACI and strengthens the company’s
presence in its high-growth Business Systems Solutions market area.
Under the terms of the contract, CACI will provide O&M support for the
SAP-based Financial and Business Management System (FBMS) run by DOI’s
Business Integration Office. The FBMS incorporates the majority of DOI’s
financial management functions into one system, replacing and/or
integrating 116 of the agency’s 177 legacy business systems and
subsystems. This comprehensive, department-wide approach to improving
current business function aligns with DOI’s goals of furthering
modernization, integration, accountability, and customer value.
CACI’s support includes leveraging DOI investments already made, and
optimizing FBMS to further support the diverse missions of the 10
business entities using it to manage their finance, budget execution,
acquisition, financial assistance, property, and reporting operations.
In addition to developing a keen understanding of the FBMS solution in
performing this work at DOI since 2006, CACI also has provided O&M
support for SAP-based solutions for the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, giving
the company deep-seated expertise in this area.
John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S.
Operations, said, “CACI’s Department of the Interior team has provided
outstanding delivery and attention to customer needs, affording us the
opportunity to continue to support the financial system it depends on to
fulfill its mission of protecting America’s great outdoors and powering
our future.”
According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury,
“CACI’s prime award in providing continued support for an agency-wide
business management system for the Department of the Interior
demonstrates our deep expertise in SAP-based systems and allows us to
grow our Business Systems Solutions market area. Customers can count on
us to provide solutions and services that optimize business operations
and allow agencies to fulfill their critical missions to the American
people while using taxpayer funding as efficiently and carefully as
possible during a time of smaller government budgets.”
