STATESVILLE, North Carolina, USA, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kewaunee Scientific Corporation (NASDAQ: KEQU) today announced that it had been awarded a turnkey contract of approximately $13 million for the prestigious New Shell Technology Centre in Bangalore, India. Under the contract, Kewaunee Scientific will provide all laboratory casework, fume hoods, high purity gas systems, vacuum systems, exhaust systems, scrubbers, VAV systems and other furnishings on a turnkey basis necessary to complete the research laboratories.

In an earlier announcement of the project, Shell stated the new centre will allow its Bangalore research and development staff to expand up to around 1,500 technology specialists and is expected to be operational by the end of calendar year 2015.
