MoSys and Xilinx to Present 100G/400G Networking Design Challenges and Solutions at Ethernet Technology Summit 2014

PRSO

MoSys, Inc.:

Who:

Michael Miller, VP of technology innovation and system applications for MoSys (NASDAQ: MOSY), a leader in semiconductor solutions that enable fast, intelligent data access for network and communications systems, and Gilles Garcia, director, wired communications for Xilinx, Inc., will be co-instructors during the session H-11 presentation entitled “100G/400G Networking Solutions,” which takes place as a part of the High Frequency Communications Design Seminar (High-Frequency Communications Design Track) at Ethernet Technology Summit 2014.

New capabilities and services are driving massive broadband and smart device adoption by users for both work and play. These new services require both higher data rates and intelligent content delivery from the network. As 10 and 40 Gigabit Ethernet proliferates from the core of the network toward access equipment and servers to support this demand, carriers, cloud service providers and enterprise network managers must deliver higher bandwidth solutions at the core and edge. 100G/400Gbit/s networking represents a major opportunity for carriers and system developers to deliver value added systems and services to support these rising user requirements and expectations. Establishing an ecosystem of leading edge electronic components represents one of the critical elements in enabling next-generation networking equipment.

What:

Ethernet Technology Summit focuses on the use of Ethernet throughout the networking space. This includes the emergence of 10-Gigabit Ethernet as a key LAN technology on the desktop and in data centers. It also covers the 40-Gigabit and 100-Gigabit Ethernet standards and standards efforts beyond 100GbE. Furthermore, it includes the use of Ethernet as a carrier backbone and transport method, as well as in storage applications. Other topics of interest include virtualization, cloud computing, and Data Center Ethernet. The Summit offers keynotes, seminars, forums, tutorials, an expert table session, exhibits, and receptions with the aim of presenting expert speakers and encouraging networking and the flow of information.

When:

The Ethernet Technology Summit takes place April 29 through May 1, 2014.

Where:

Santa Clara Convention Center

5001 Great America Parkway
Santa Clara, CA
