CACI Digital Forensics Lab Receives American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Accreditation

CACI

Assures Customers of Excellence in Forensic Analysis

CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today that its CACI Digital Forensics Laboratory (CDFL), a full-service computer and audio forensics facility located in Alexandria, Va., has been accredited by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB)-International. This independent and impartial accreditation demonstrates that CACI’s lab, which is part of the capabilities the company offers in its Investigation & Litigation Support market, meets or exceeds established testing and calibration requirements as well as industry digital forensic standards.

The ASCLD/LAB is a not-for-profit organization and the only accrediting body that focuses completely on laboratories performing testing for criminal justice purposes. Its accreditation programs provide a means for continuous quality improvement of lab services as well as criteria for assessing and improving the performance of digital forensics operations. This accreditation assures CACI customers that the Digital Forensics Lab’s management, personnel, equipment, physical facilities, quality system, and operational and technical procedures meet recognized standards of excellence.

CACI’s Digital Forensics Lab supports investigation, litigation, eDiscovery, cyberspace, and intelligence projects and customers with cutting-edge digital forensic solutions. Its certified digital forensics examiners provide a full range of on- and off-site services designed to collect, preserve, examine, and report on digital evidence in a forensically sound and industry-accepted manner. These services include case consulting; evidence preservation/collection; computer, mobile device, and audio forensics; expert witness testimony; specialized data recovery; and encryption/password recovery. Since its inception, the lab has successfully collected and forensically processed more than 1,500 exhibits totaling over one petabyte of data for numerous government agencies on a wide variety of criminal, financial, and contractual cases, as well as other legal and oversight issues.

According to John Mengucci, CACI Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, “CACI’s Digital Forensics Lab is a valuable tool to help our customers handle the increasingly complex practice of collecting and processing electronically stored information. This latest accreditation increases the lab’s value to our customers and assures them that they are receiving services of the highest caliber.”

CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury said, “The accreditation from the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board for our CACI Digital Forensics Lab is a clear demonstration of our commitment to industry-recognized levels of excellence. In addition to bolstering our dedication to customer satisfaction, it strengthens our position within the Investigation & Litigation Support market.”
