Envision Solar International Solar Tree(R) Structures Selected by Nationwide Retailer to Provide Renewable Energy, Sustainable EV Charging and Safe Comfortable Shaded Parking

BEEM

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - June 12, 2014) - Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) ("Envision Solar," or the "Company"), the leading renewable energy Media and Branding product company, announced today that its Solar Tree® products have been selected by a nationwide Department Store chain as part of its continuing efforts to protect and conserve the environment through solutions that provide long-term sustainability.

The Solar Tree® arrays will deliver renewable energy, solar powered EV Charging and shade and protection from inclement weather to customers and staff at the department store company's locations. The first deployment of Envision's Solar Tree® structures for this company is commencing today in Dallas, Texas. The inclusion of EV chargers on the Solar Tree® arrays will further enhance the retailer's existing fleet of EV chargers and provide customers and staff the opportunity to drive on sunshine.

The Department Store company is a major retailer with stores and corporate facilities nationwide. Envision Solar was selected because of its focus on creating high quality, architecturally accretive, American made products, which fit perfectly with the retailer's emphasis on delivering quality and long-term sustainability.

Each Solar Tree® shades six to eight parking spaces and generates enough energy to provide up to 500 miles of totally emissions free driving in a day. The average American drives 36.9 miles per day according to the Federal Highway Administration. When the energy is not being used to charge EVs it will reduce the location's reliance on utility supplied energy, lowering its energy bills. Each Solar Tree® produces clean renewable energy, reducing as much carbon dioxide as 20 acres of US forests in one year.

"We are delighted that this major retailer has selected our products as part of their ongoing nationwide sustainability efforts," said Desmond Wheatley, President and CEO of Envision Solar. "They are a leader in sustainability and their choice of our products is a major endorsement of the quality, architectural accretion and superior functionality which we deliver. We are proud to be a part of their efforts and look forward to a broad engagement. This is an important day for our company and it serves as further confirmation of our products and the value they deliver to customers like this very large and discerning retailer."

Invented, engineered and fabricated in the United States, the Solar Tree® covers 8 parking spaces. The system's clean solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™, which enables the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a conventional fixed array. Solar Tree® arrays can be outfitted with 6 level two EV chargers or one DC Fast Charger.
