CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI)
announced today that it has been awarded a $26.6 million contract award
to provide Engineering and Technical Related Services (ETRS) in support
of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance
Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD). This contract, which is for
one base year and two one-year options, was awarded under the SeaPort-e
contract vehicle that CACI received in 2004. It represents continuing
work for CACI and strengthens its presence in its C4ISR (command,
control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and
reconnaissance) market area.
NSWC IHEODTD, located in Indian Head, Md., is one of nine Warfare Center
divisions that report to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). It
provides research, development, engineering, manufacturing, testing,
evaluation, and in-service support for energetics, ordnance, and EOD
solutions for the Navy and joint forces. The ETRS contract supports the
division’s Picatinny Detachment, which manages gun systems, ammunition,
and ordnance materials for the Navy.
Under the contract, CACI will continue to support weapon systems
engineering, technology, and logistics. The company will provide
technical systems engineering analysis and basic engineering studies of
weapon systems and performance as well as technical documents, drafting,
and illustrations.
