Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: XPLR), manufacturer of the most
powerful, longest-lasting and ultra-rugged and fully-rugged tablets, has
hired four new team members to help develop more progressive service,
sales and marketing operations. The new team members bring industry
experience to Xplore, and will help sales, development and support for
the next generation of rugged technology.
"The technology behind rugged devices is complex, and we are very
fortunate to acquire four professionals with a breadth of experience in
the market," said Phil Sassower, chairman and CEO for Xplore. "Their
work in delivering the very best products and solutions is a tremendous
asset to our customers and the company.”
As the new senior manager of service operations, Bruce Linnartz is
responsible for the development and management of Xplore’s new customer
service department and providing efficient and effective customer
service, processes and procedures for its rugged product lines. Before
his work with Xplore, Linnartz took a proactive role in developing
quality customer services for competing rugged device manufacturers as
the director and senior manager of service operations and custom
solutions. For Xplore, Linnartz will immediately impact the company’s
service solutions in support of sales and marketing efforts.
Xplore’s new enterprise sales director Cynthia Murnick will help
establish industry strategies and implement go-to-market initiatives for
some of the company’s largest enterprise customers. Bringing more than
15 years of mobile software and hardware experience to the company,
Murnick’s knowledge will be invaluable to Xplore’s sales team as it
works to expand enterprise opportunities. Previously, she was with Psion
Corporation and Motorola where she spearheaded multi-million dollar
sales opportunities and created new mobile software solutions.
Travis Dusek joins Xplore Technologies as the director of product
marketing. He comes to Xplore from Dell where he managed a portfolio of
businesses including docking, audio and smart phone solutions. He has a
wealth of experience in delivering complete solutions to industry
verticals while hitting revenue and margin targets. Dusek will be
responsible for creating compelling vertical solutions by partnering
Xplore’s rugged tablets with leading software and services.
In the B2B marketing director role, Cathy Hut will lead the development
of Xplore’s global marketing, brand and communications strategies for
its rugged tablet lines. With more than 20 years of experience
developing and executing integrated marketing programs for start-up
OEMs, hardware and software enterprises, Hut is well equipped to drive
Xplore’s product and channel initiatives and help expand its global
presence. Hut joins Xplore after several years as a global marketing
director for Freightwatch International, Digital Edge International and
the Scrum Alliance.
The new employees will report to the vice presidents in their respective
divisions. All appointments are effective immediately.
