Brookfield Investment Management Inc. Announces Shareholder Approval of the Reorganizations of each of Helios Advantage Income Fund, Inc., Helios High Income Fund, Inc., Helios Multi-Sector High Income Fund, Inc. and Helios Strategic Income Fund, Inc. into Brookfield High Income Fund Inc.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2014) - Brookfield Investment Management Inc. (the "Adviser") announced today that, at a joint special meeting held earlier today, shareholders of each of Helios Advantage Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE:HAV), Helios High Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE:HIH), Helios Multi-Sector High Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE:HMH), and Helios Strategic Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE:HSA) approved the reorganization of each of HAV, HIH, HMH and HSA into Brookfield High Income Fund Inc. (NYSE:HHY) (each of HAV, HIH, HMH, HSA, and HHY a "Fund" and together, the "Funds") and shareholders of HHY have approved the issuance of additional shares of common stock of HHY in connection with the reorganizations.

It is currently expected that the reorganizations will be completed in the third quarter of 2014, subject to all applicable regulatory requirements and other customary closing conditions being satisfied. The Funds will issue a press release announcing the closing date of the reorganizations and the final distributions for HAV, HIH, HMH and HSA shareholders. The reorganizations, if completed, will occur based on the relative net asset values of (i) HAV and HHY, (ii) HIH and HHY, (iii) HMH and HHY, and (iv) HSA and HHY, respectively.
