Company demos HTML5 UX and Application Framework on RDK-based set-top
boxes

and solutions, today announced its participation at the upcoming 2014
CableLabs® Summer Conference taking place between August 3-6 in
Keystone, Colo. Espial will demonstrate a high performance TV user
experience demo complete with portals and video applications based on
HTML5 and Reference Design Kit (RDK). The CableLabs Summer Conference
is a private event for cable operators and demonstrating vendors.
The Espial demo will feature several user experience portals, custom
sports apps, as well as seamless access to favorite HTML5 Web apps such
as YouTube. Leveraging the Espial STB Client and Application Framework, the user experience will demonstrate
super-fast video apps - including guide, video-on-demand and favorites
- on multiple set-top box platforms.
