TORONTO, Sept. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - It's case closed on 2014's Fall Premiere Week, as CTV's CSI returned Sunday night to 2 million viewers, making it the most-watched program of the day according to preliminary overnight data from Numeris (BBM Canada). CTV won Sunday with the Top 2 programs of the night for total viewers and the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos, including ONCE UPON A TIME which won its hour with 1.6 million total viewers.

On Friday, CTV's THE AMAZING RACE settled into its new timeslot with 1.5 million viewers, winning its timeslot and becoming the most-watched program of the night among the key adult demos. Meanwhile, the first hour of the special two-hour season premiere of SHARK TANK at 9 p.m. on CTV TWO more than tripled the audience of UTOPIA (City/FOX) among total viewers and all key demos. SHARK TANK moves to CTV for a special three-week engagement beginning this Friday, Oct. 3.

A closer look at Numeris (BBM Canada) preliminary data for Sunday:

  • At 8 p.m., ONCE UPON A TIME led MADAM SECRETARY (Global/CBS) by 23% among total viewers and 86% among A25-54, and more than tripled audiences among A18-34 (+226%) and nearly tripled among A18-49 (+193%). Compared to last year's season premiere, ONCE UPON A TIME saw growth of 25% (P2+), 43% (A18-34), 26% (A18-49), and 12% (A25-54).
  • At 9 p.m., the CTV debut and Season 2 premiere of RESURRECTION was up 68% from its finale last spring among total viewers.

The new fall season continues on CTV and CTV GO tonight with all new episodes of THE BIG BANG THEORY at 7:30 p.m. ET, GOTHAM at 8 p.m. ET, and FOREVER at 9 p.m. ET, all leading into the season premiere of CASTLE at 10 p.m. ET.
