Critically praised alt pop band WALK THE MOON set to headline the
last date of StubHub’s
Next Stage Benefitting Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation (MHOF).

WALK THE MOON consists of Nicholas Petricca (lead singer, songwriter
and keyboard player), Eli Maiman (guitar, vocals), Kevin Ray (bass,
vocals) and Sean Waugaman (drums, vocals) all hailing from Ohio.
After the band’s explosive first single “Anna Sun”, including the
beloved music video which became a viral sensation with over 9
million Vevo views to date, WALK THE MOON was praised by music
industry tastemakers across the board. “There's something about WALK
THE MOON that's absolutely out of this world. Their music is
addictive, energetic, and fun,” proclaimed Interview Magazine. WALK
THE MOON is back with their recently released debut single “Shut Up
and Dance” off of their upcoming sophomore album due out later this
year on RCA Records.

StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, is taking music
to the next stage in its biggest music initiative yet to
support emerging artists while giving access to the true music
fan. Launching with its first self-produced and self-ticketed live
concert event, the NEXT STAGE Concert Series, the New York
date with WALK THE MOON is the last of the five cross-country
dates in the series that raise money for the Mr. Holland’s Opus
Foundation and local schools in each market.

New York area schools benefitting from full ticket proceeds of the
benefit concert as well as a portion of an initial $250,000 provided
to MHOF by StubHub are P.S. 48 Joseph R. Drake School (approx. $20k
in musical instruments), Bronx Global Learning Institute for Girls
(over $47k in musical instruments), and Grand Street Campus School
(over $57k in musical instruments).

To date, the ticket proceeds for the first four dates (Los Angeles,
Nashville, San Francisco and Chicago) have raised an additional $50k
for the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation.

StubHub recognizes that providing rewarding experiences and taking
its music efforts to the next stage extends beyond the concert and,
as such, is continuing the mission of its corporate social
responsibility program promoting music education and the arts by
naming Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation (MHOF) a national recipient of
its Rising Star Award. The award comes with an initial $250,000
grant from the StubHub Foundation (a corporate-advised fund of the
Silicon Valley Community Foundation) and access to StubHub’s
platform, partners and employee talent to help further its mission
to keep music alive in schools.

The StubHub Foundation grant will be distributed by MHOF to schools
in need, in the form of $50,000 in new musical instruments that will
help ensure the continuation and expansion of school music education
programs throughout five of the concert series markets. In addition,
100% of ticket proceeds from the Next Stage benefit concerts will be
donated to MHOF.

The StubHub Next Stage Concert Series Benefiting Mr.
Holland’s Opus Foundation started in Los Angeles featuring Swedish
singer-songwriter Lykee Li and continued on to Nashville featuring
Los Angeles-based rock band Grouplove, San Francisco featuring
Portugal. The Man and Chicago, featuring Trombone Shorty and
Orleans Avenue.
