TORONTO, Dec. 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Success! Bell Media's promotional campaign for the launch of its new subscription on-demand video streaming service, CraveTVTM – available now – saw four "Cravers" break the Guinness World Records mark for the Longest Marathon Watching TV. Blake Cronyn, Jasmin Shim, Cam Healy, and Lisa Matlock successfully completed a 91-hour marathon viewing session in a highly visible, fully-functional living space situated at Bell Media headquarters in Toronto earlier today. After starting Monday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. ET, the Cravers officially beat the world record at 7:01 a.m. ET this morning, but continued until 8 a.m. ET with another episode of SEINFELD. Earlier this week, Devon Ferguson, a filmmaker from Vancouver, left the CraveTV House after watching almost 44 hours of CraveTV content and Monique Redhead bowed out this morning at 1:02 a.m. ET, after watching 84 hours. @CraveTVCanada is now available on set-top box, apps, and CraveTV.ca for just $4/month. .

In all, the Cravers watched 169 complete episodes of some of CraveTV's best programming, including ORPHAN BLACK, CHEERS, SEX AND THE CITY, and more.

"What better way to launch CraveTV than with a celebration of some of the best TV around?" said Kevin Crull, President, Bell Media. "Congratulations to all the Cravers – you have definitely proven to be true TV lovers."

An official Guinness World Records adjudicator was present this morning when the record was broken. Previously, the record-holder for longest marathon-watching television was Erik Pettersson from Stockholm, Sweden who reached 90 hours earlier this year.
